RobsonWoese helps clients manage and control
ever increasing energy costs.

From Verizon Team Energy to a prototype fuel cell for the central office of the future, to a continuous effort to optimize energy efficiency, RobsonWoese has worked to increase our clients' bottom line by minimizing energy costs. We have designed a number of ground water source thermal cooling heat pump systems for central offices; indirect lighting systems for administrative spaces; and spot cooling to large central refrigeration plants - all value engineered for the most cost effective return on investment.

Fuel Cell Technology - Conceptual Design and Planning

Verizon
Rome, NY

Verizon's need for reliable energy, generated efficiently and with minimal environmental impact, led the company to investigate the benefits of onsite combined heat and power (CHP). Verizon selected fuel cells, one of the cleanest power generating technologies available, as a major part of their CHP solution. RobsonWoese participated in the conceptual design and planning for fuel cells at the Rome NY Central Office. This "Central Office of the Future" communications center was a DC-to-DC Power deployment project. The ability to interconnect with the local power grid, and "net meter" were prime assets of the design. This prototype of a future telecommunications facility introduced and demonstrated fuel cell technology applications to Verizon"s central office infrastructure.
