RobsonWoese Inc appoints Anne T. Smith
to VP and Corporate Business Development Team
Smith,
who joined RW in May 2004 from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation
(NMPC) where she served as Director of Energy Delivery Communications
for over 10 years, is responsible for focusing on business
strategies across our offices. In addition, she will be responsible
for increasing corporate sales and bringing additional signature
(national) clients to the company.
In December, Smith was appointed to direct the development, delivery, and execution of RW's market sector business plans. Smith's added responsibility and authority is a major component of RW's business growth.
As Director of Energy Delivery Communications, Smith designed, developed, coordinated and evaluated customer communications/community events for NMPC.
In 1992, she also served as Niagara Mohawk's Senior Marketing Program Coordinator responsible for the development of advertising, promotions and public relations when NMPC launched its NMGas SBU startup program.
Prior to Niagara Mohawk, Smith was Deputy Director for Economic Development for the City of Syracuse under Syracuse Mayor Thomas G. Young. She also was a member of the city's $10 million Downtown Improvement Plan Task Force.
Recognized for her community involvement, Smith has served as a member of the Board of Directors for numerous Syracuse organizations, and currently serves on the board of the Elmcrest Children's Center. She also is a member of the Onondaga County Economic Growth Council, the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce Travel and Tourism Committee, and sits on the board of NY State Women in Communications and Energy.
