NYSERDA selects RobsonWoese as a Technical
Assistant Consultant for their New Construction Program
The
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)
has appointed RobsonWoese as an advisory/consultant for its
New Construction Program (NCP). NYSERDA is a public-benefit
corporation established to develop innovative solutions to
the State's energy and environmental problems engaging in
peak demand, system reliability and economic development.
The NCP provides incentives to eligible utility customers who elect to install energy-efficient equipment and Green Building technologies in new construction or renovation projects. The purpose of the program is to accelerate the incorporation of electrical energy efficiency design, construction, and operation of commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, multi-family buildings, and residential developments of five or more units. The goal of the program is to produce permanent improvements in "standard" design practices among building designers and owners. The program provides technical assistance and financial incentives of up to $50,000 to customers. The program also provides customers with specialized green building assistance including computer modeling, materials analysis, LEED™ guidance, and the New York State Green Buildings Tax Credit.
