Hazzard and Risk Analysis

Baldwin Richardson Foods Company

Macedon Manufacturing Facility, NY

The Baldwin Richardson Foods Co. manufacturing facility is a 95,000 sq.ft., single-story food processing and manufacturing operation. Our client desired additional technical assistance for determining options and protection schemes for the protection of the drum storage of flammable liquids in the cooler/freezer areas of the facility. RobsonWoese provided fire protection engineering services to review the hydraulic characteristics of the existing dry pipe fire sprinkler system within the cooler/freezer area of the plant and provided summary information on the density and remote area characteristics of the existing system based upon existing conditions. RW reviewed the applicable NFPA codes and standards, the Fire Code of New York State and insurer criteria, and provided potential recommendations for improvement.
