RobsonWoese Inc provided multi-discipline consulting
services to the United States Military Academy at West
Point, New York. The goal was to support the academy
in their mission to continue to educate, train, and
inspire the Corps of Cadets. Marching forward with this
goal lead to many successful projects. These included:
Bartlett Hall, Building 753
- RW developed two code equivalency concepts that
permitted occupancy of some existing floor spaces
so the entire building would align with fire safety
and fire protection criteria.
Building 618, Military Police Facility
- RW evaluated construction costs and found that
it would be more economical and satisfactory with
program requirements to erect a new building as
opposed to renovating the existing one.
Buildings 667A and 667B
- RW conducted an extensive fire and life safety
code review, identified referenced code deficiencies,
then prioritized improvements with cost estimates
as a basis for additional project work. Selection,
design, specifications and cost estimating for the
fire alarm system were a critical part of this phase.
- RW conducted on-site water flow testing and analysis
ascertain water flow availability and pressures.
