Fire Protection Engineer / Project Manager
Syracuse
BS FPE required. P.E. preferred. Responsible for the design of fire protection and suppression systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities. Duties include the recommendation of materials and equipment, such as structural components protection, fire detection equipment, alarm systems, fire extinguishing devices/systems and fire suppression systems. Also responsible for advising on the location, handling, installation and maintenance of such devices/systems. Requires relevant experience designing fire detection and suppression systems along with a working knowledge of building codes and standards (NFPA, BOCA, ICBO, State Building Codes, etc.), and the ability to analyze computer-based hydraulic calculations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for sales, marketing and project management with extensive client contact.
