Commissioning

Through our commissioning services,
RobsonWoese is focused on helping owners
obtain the operating performance they expect
from their building systems.

Our staff of engineers has applied their understanding of systems design and construction to develop a comprehensive approach to commissioning. Our knowledge of energy, equipment, controls, system integration and construction gives us a strong commissioning team. The criteria RW utilizes has been crafted from this knowledge and not just downloaded from the internet. RW has provided commissioning for a wide range of buildings including laboratories, office buildings and child care centers. Our commissioning efforts focus on ensuring that systems are operating efficiently, providing the controllability that is required to deliver comfort while maintaining energy efficiency. With punch hats on, we help the design team make sure that systems are installed properly and will be able to be serviced, operated and maintained to the owner's satisfaction after the contractor has left.

Commissioning

Commissioning - 73,000 SF Laboratory and Research Building

Hauptman Woodward Medical Research Institute
Buffalo, NY

Through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) New Construction Program, RobsonWoese provided commissioning services for the building envelop and mechanical/electrical systems for this new 73,000 sq.ft. laboratory and research building. Among the critical findings of the RW commissioning effort were incomplete control sequences and an improperly filled glycol system. Many other minor adjustments were made during the commissioning process that helped produce a building that functions as the design intended.
